Ok, going to go the STS route next spring and would also like to couple it with a more health cam while I am at it. With the turbo you don't want as much overlap. Before I decided on the turbo I was thinking about the Comp Cams XTREME RPM HIGH LIFT XR265HR (54-424-11) - 212/218 - .558/.563 w 1.7 rocker - 115 LSA. Will this still be ok with the turbo?
I have looked in the archives about opinions on cam options, and it looks like there is differing opinions on the reverse split cams. Doesn't seem to be a common consensus (but when does that ever happen anyway) on impact. I'm going to read more up on it, but I just wanted your guys opinion on the one I have listed above.
Thanks for the look,
Andrew

In my experience, a reverse split cam will run smoother and make better power. I ran two cams: one a 230/236 .6xx/.6xx on a 114 lsa, and my current cam, 236/230 .6xx/.6xx on a 115 lsa. Night and day difference in drivability, power, and lag.
If its a choice between springs and a cam, do springs and keep the stock cam. OW, I suggest a reverse split: 218/212 or 218/210 on at least a 112 (smaller duration needs less LSA).
This is turbo specific advice btw
