Default Bolt on some serious HP with Torqstorm Superchargers

Hey Guys, just wanted to share with you an article that Hot Rod Network did with our supercharger on a 5.7 hemi. They gained 161 hp and 162ft lbs torque with no cam change or intercooler. Not bad for bolt on unit for under $3k and a lifetime warranty!

Curious why the big price spread between the 5.7/6.1 Hemi kit vs. the 99-06 Silverado kit? $700 more on the truck kit, is it just bracketry difference, or...?

Also, estimated gains on 6.1 Hemi, and 6.0 LQ9 Silverado? I'm sure you guys are probably aware you can't throw too much boost at the stock pistons on the 6.1.

Thanks,
Richard

Hey Richard, there is a bit more involved in the silverado kit. We are actually working on improving/redoing that kit right now and bringing the price around the same as the hemi kit. Theres so many variables on each application. About 5# of boost is the threshold on the stock pistons. which is still around 500hp. A good tune is a must. As far as the 6.0 we dont have any dyno numbers in a truck application. But customers with the 6.0s in swaps are making 600+whp with cam and exhaust.

Thanks

Not to derail anything but stock pistons could do 800+ hp if you need them two. Just the early gen 3 I beam rods are the weakness around that 550ish give or take some horsepower range. The GEN 4 H beam rods are twice as strong.

Looks like a sweet kit, can't wait to see the 07-13 kit. Doesn't look that hard to add intercooler piping either.

Sorry for any confusion. We're talking about the stock 6.1 (Mopar) pistons; they're known for breaking ring lands under much boost. Guys running more boost are going forged.
