Ant of you blower guys running anything other than the HD Tensioner? Anything out there stronger?

 

I couldn't find anything but that was 4 years ago. Maybe someone stepped up and built us or repurposed one. What happened to yours?

just looking for something better than the HD tensioner. I think mine is worn out so trying to see what’s out there

 

The big cummins 38518 tensioner right? Next logical upgrade from one of those would be a cog drive or LSA style dedicated belt.

Can't help with a new tensioner option but I had some belt shredding issues a few months back along with a squeak/chirp I could not get rid of even with brand new belts. Decided to change the tensioner and that seems to have solved the issue. I could not tell a significant difference in spring tension but evidently it was enough to make a difference. The 'bad' tensioner was originally installed with the 8-rib swap probably 13 years ago so if this one makes it another 10 years the way I beat on it, I'll be happy.
