standard no BB housing can be had with water cooled as well. Turbonetics offers them so I am sure others have them as well. Really easy to hook on our trucks with a single set up.

Journal bearing is the industry standard name for that style if turbo.
As for rebuild-ability of a BB turbo, yes you could rebuild one if it hasn't failed, but usually, they don't ware much. When they fail a bearing, they are usually junk because the bearing either burns up the housing, breaks the shaft or the wheels contacting the housing doing enough damage that the turbo is not longer any good.
To me, 95% of the time, they are not worth the $300+ more they cost for the little gain you actual get from them.
