Don't assume anything. You're boosting with absolutely no knowledge of what's going on, a dangerous game.

I wasn't making any comment on your intelligence....just saying if you don't know what the motor is doing air/fuel and spark wise you're playing a dangerous game.

I would assume if the pressure was too high the FPR would lower the voltage. Truck is turbo by the way and it will be getting tuned once the new intake goes on. Truck will also not see anymore boost until it gets retuned. And the plugs look fine. But this is my dd.
It doesn't matter what other people have done as two similar builds are not the same... You are backfiring at WOT, you still have yet to include your setup so we had to assume its Turbo'd, With that said noises that go boom at WOT on a forced inducted setup is either a hurt motor or a poor tune.

With that being said, you should get engine management gauges for reference, Fuel pressure, Wideband and Boost gauge are not needed but are a great investment to help diagnose issues and to babysit the motor for hurting itself, especially if it is your daily driver.

Sorry, IDK how I forgot that. The truck is turbo. The backfire was definitely out of the down pipe.
