Talking Anyone here from North Carolina?

Hey guys. I posted this in the Southern section also. I was wondering if anyone here is from NC, specifically the Piedmont area, and has an STS kit on their truck, or even a supercharger for that matter. My truck is the only full-size GM that I have ever been around that has forced induction and since I am dialing it in getting ready for another round of tuning I would like to find someone close by that has had their kit for awhile and has it tuned and set-up properly. I am the only person locally that I know of that tinkers with anything like this and I would like to have a reference to go by. I will pay for gas/beer/lunch, whatever, I just need a baseline to see where my truck is. Thanks!!!

Hey Dufus I have a 04 silverado with a maggie on it. I live near Charlotte NC. If you are looking for a experienced tuner Alvin with PCMforless lives in the Charlotte area and can do a dyno tune for you. He has a TBSS with a STS kit on it. He is a great guy to do business with. Alvins TBSS was running mid se vens with nothing more than the STS kit and a stall. He does a ton of tunes.

Thanks for the reply! I was going to go with Alvin but I believe he was in the process of moving and we never got together. I ended up going with Williams Performance and he did an awesome job (he does lots of LSX powered stuff) especially since I had another "Tuner" do it first and screw up everything he touched!!! At the time I had no intercooler and as my luck would have it my Alky pump would not turn on. Also, my manual boost controller (brass, under the truck type) would not allow more than 4.5 psi of boost even fully screwed in. The guy that had the kit before me ran 9 psi with the same set-up (supposedly). So, I installed an in-line intercooler (under right rear door), changed all the clamps to t-bolt style from worm gear, took the pump apart and cleaned it (now working), and installed an AEM Tru-Boost gauge/controller. Now the most boost I have seen is 7.64 psi and that was only once since I have not been back to finish the tune with my new set-up. My problem is under acceleration I am not seeing hardly any boost at all regardless of what changes I make to the AEM. That is why I would like to ride in a GM with forced induction to see what is going on and then go from there. I am about an hour north of you, by the way. You are probably the closest one to me. I just don't want to go back to get re-tuned for more boost and alky without having my truck ready and knowing what to expect from it. Thanks again!!

I live in Andrews NC. I've got a twin front mount setup that I built for my 02 scsb sierra. Im waiting on some funds to get my tranny built(4l80e). The truck ran a 12.06 at 121mph on 13 psi. That was my first time to the track. I built the motor to run on high boost. Its a fun little truck. Do you have any track times or dyno numbers?

Justin

No, I don't have any numbers yet. I am waiting to get back to the tuner for some dyno time and "final" tune. I just wish I had someone else local that had a similar set-up to compare my truck with to see if I am close to where I should be before I go back. Thanks for the reply!!
