Default Another try

As some of you know, i sold everything out of the truck including my homemade turbo kit and the 409 stroker i had. I am currently starting a build with a tall deck lsx around 450-468 cubic inches and twin 76mm ball bearing turbos. I am shooting for atleast 1200hp to the wheels. I hope i will get the motor built by the time i get home for r and r in march. I will then put it in along with my fully built 80e and take it to have the twin turbo kit built for it. I will keep everyone updated.

Are you going to shoot for 1200 4WDhp or just 2WD?

Good luck with your goals man, will be one epic build for sure!

It will be 4wd but the dyno will be 2wd. Everyone tells me that 1200 is undershooting it with my goals for motor and turbos but i like setting limit low.

450ci, Ur gonna want bigger turbos and large exhaust housings so it'll breathe.
Twin 80's are just right on a 427.
Those turbos should get u there but what about the rest of the drivetrain? (driveshaft, rearend, transmission)
Fuel system?
Better go TH400.
Cooling system?

A badass goal to reach and the truck will be a monster when done.

Plan for a big budget as well.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Allen, we are going with the new GM DR heads and intake as well. I am letting trick performance build the twin kit so whatever turbo they think i need ill let them decide. I was just thinking 76s. The trans is at shop now getting every thing he can throw in there. I dont want a th400. As far as fuel, ive got a fuel cell now and i cant remember what fuel pump we were gonna go with but thats down the road. Rearend is basically stock with a eaton but i wont be bashing it in 2wd much. Cooling system i have a all aluminum 34inch radiator with ls1 fans and stock pump. I wanna do electric but i dont due to more street driving than anything. I will be letting Flaco tune it as well. Budget isnt a thing right now since im deployed and im also not in a rush.
