Another Front Mount Turbo Truck
So i am making the switch to a Front Mount turbo set up.. I bought everything seperate.. I am thinking a Kit form is ALOT less headache and time spent... One major thing wasnt the AC system it was the Automatic Tranmission Cooler lines !!!! They were in the way of everything !!! so I pulled them off working on putting a 6 pass cooler with fan under the bed of the truck.. Took a few pics thought i would share... well today..
Today I was working on that ... depends on how in dept I go .. I did buy a 220.00 blow off valve and 125.00 dual stage wastegate.. and 60 lb injectors.. but as far as turbo hotparts 1300.00+ 285.00 for FMIC and tubes+150.00 in fittings, hose, welding rod I am still not done... the turbo was FREE.. front a great friend who works/builds turbos... he built me a 72mm or something like that.. so i would say less then 2000.00 BUT thats no turbo and 30 hours shop time.... so with that said 4000.00 for a bolt on Trick Turbo system is pretty damn reasonable ! a good turbo is 500-700.00

yep its amazing how much **** you would have to go through to get a kit together if it wasn't meant for your app. Im glad i went with a kit from trick that fit perfect. I know how much work it was for the intercooler setup I built, I can only imagine how much of a pita it would have been having to do all the hot pipes. But looks good and nice job! Hope things go alittle smoother for you.
