I doubt anyone is running 18psi on pump?

Seriously though what could a similar 4.8 setup do on pump gas vs a 5.3 since im thinking of a turbo 5.3

Thumbs up

Very nice performance out of that 4.8, does the turbo have a twin scroll divided exhaust housing? If so, have you ever considered installing a "quick spool valve?"

I'm looking at building up an aluminum block with 4.8 crank and 3.898" bore to turbo for my GTO. I'm liking what I see here in terms of power potential of the 4.8's short stroke, and rpm capabilities. How does that cam idle for being such long duration? Steep lobe ramps help out there?

Also saw that you said you were going with new lifters, willing to divulge what brand/type you're going to be installing?

yes i was actually looking into the quick spool valve before i went along with this build but didnt wanna take a chance, but dont get me wrong the concept of it seems like it would work

And doing a short stroke big bore motor also crossed my mind but who knows i might give it a try later

About the lifters im not going with anything fancy just some ls7 lifters

This guy along with many others run 18+ psi on 91 octane. OP that truck looks nice and runs strong.
