I see 8-9 psi currently. Am I going to increase much with the bigger tb?

If you look at the difference in area hypothetically the 87mm throttle body is 5944.67mm sq, the 90mm throttle body is 6361.72mm sq and the 102mm throttle body is 8171.28 mm sq - provided your intake tube is not restricting flow you should get much better gains with the 102mm throttle body. I think you will gain something with the 90mm TB but it depends if there are any other restrictions in the intake. I would definitely consider the 102mm TB for about the same price and you have some room to grow into it!

Good Luck

^^^ Pretty sure his truck still has the stock 76mm throttle body on it, that's why he's upgrading. You forgot to do the math on the 76mm.

I do have the 78mm on the truck but I have a 87mm sitting on the bench that I picked up a while back. Aren't the 102mm tbs like $600?!!!!

The 78mm is 4775mm sq so you are getting a substantial upgrade in flow capability. Would still suggest 102mm. I went to 90mm but now Im upgrading to 102mm and I think I can squeeze an extra 50+ ponies out of my setup.

I'm with u. It just would suck to spend 600 to go no faster then the free 87mm tb. Not saying it wouldn't help but it might not at my level..... Know what I mean

I have a 78mm DBW on my TVS2300. A 90mm LS2 TB would not operate with my PCM. Even with the LS2 adapter. My 2002 did not have a TAC module so the X link wouldn't help me either. I think some operating systems are picky about the voltage signal they see. The only real way to know is to hook it up and see. My only option at this point is to switch to a drive by cable or change out my PCM and wiring harness

Is there a thread that lays out how big all the throttle bodies are and what they came off of? Also, what does it take to run the bigger throttle bodies with a cable setup like I have?

Sorry for the newbish questions.
