When it's back together we need some video's of the 50mph roll burnouts. Might be time to get a good set of inexpensive aftermarket axles for it or look for a 14 bolt from a VHO or SS. I think the stock 10 bolt will hold up with you having that Detroit Locker in there if you have good axles as far as power goes. The weight of the truck and the wheel/tire package might be causing the axle tubes to flex like your green Tahoe did though especially under full boost. That may be why the axle broke right there. You may want to check for the flex when you lower the truck down.

I just dont think the ol ten bolter is up to par for this kind of power. I feel like I am just helping it live a little longer by adding parts, not fixing the issue. I am going to go saturday and pic up a 14sf for it and be done hopefully lol.

Luke you are out of control.

I think it was just a defective axle.......give it another try and see if it happens again....

I bet Zippy is right about them weighing more then the whole rear end. I have not even lifted one but watching Steve do it is enough for me to feel tired.

I think one of those wheel/tire combos weighs more than you.

Lifting stuff like that was no big deal 10 years ago when I was about his age. They just look like heavy mf's.
