Mark that's what Lightning owners have done for years.
The one I seem in my shop you could easily fab up with your skills.

It use angle bar to build the battery box.
Then see if you can build a side off the frame or hang it from the frame.

Making sure to allow room to remove and not touch terminals.

Rick I have a battery mount. I'm thinking of use the same one I use in drag car builds. The easiest place would be in front of the pass rear tire on the frame. But I really want it behind the tire. The leaf spring is in the way but I could remove the spare tire and install the battery in its place. What you think????

Spare tire and battery gonna weigh close to the same.
Any room between tire and frame. I haven't had a chance to look under my truck yet.

Last I looked it was tight. I need to charge the spare tire size anyway so I will look into relocating the battery after I get the engine done and on the rollers.

Might look into the mini battery out there.
Large cranking power but smaller sized.

Got a few more things done, ran lines from gate to turbo and boost controller and install oil pressure flange on turbo. I went to install the new injectors in the intake before installing it and wish, wrong injectors. So Im waiting on parts again but maybe the exhaust tubing will make it so I can start building the new exhaust. 6.2 turbo build-image.jpg
