I recommend take your gate vent and rotate it so the opening is aim downward.

Nice clean install.

The hose is running downward. One of the pic make it look like it run. But it pointing down to keep water out. . Thanks about the clean install reply.

A few pics of the inner fender well and the place the downpipe was touching and place I reshape the heat shield.

pretty standard right there. That heat sheild is the way. LOL Adding wrap also made the pipe a tad thicker. Nice wrapping.
