Finally, your the first person that I've heard about that's actually pushed this tranny to break!
Good to hear their limits are that high, well at least yours was!

with the stock motor and 8#s it made 535 AWHP and 565 AWTQ, so now I would assume somewhere around 600????? its a built motor with 12#s now

you also have to look at the fact that yours is awd which puts more stress on the tranny than a 2wd.

think i would be ok with around 600 for a street setup without being able to launch on slicks and really push the clutches to their limits like you were?

I dont know man its hard to say. My "built" tranny went out while i had cruise control set on 70mph. I know it was hurt before that but couldnt believe it would finally die like that. I am just sitting back and waiting for hard parts to come out for it or pony up the big bucks and do the 4L80 Swap

I was talking to TransGo a few months ago as they were working on a kit but gave up because the TCM wasn't cooperating with the modifications. I would guess the clutch pac's need more fluid volume at pressure to allow for increase HP. I wonder what do they do to Allison trannys to improve them? And if that would be an option. While the GM 6L series isn't the same its still a clutch to clutch design.

anyone know what #'s are possible with the 6.2 with a d1sc, 2"longtubes, cam?????? I know every app is different but just the run around on what the #'s can be. Maybe 600hp

the 6.2 motors are better candidates for a cam and nitrous....
Its a beast on the spray!! Going to go boosted and spray and see where that goes.

do you have a dyno graph you could post? Those are some great numbers from a turbo at just 8#s and pump gas. I'd love to see it's power curve. Was there much lag bc the turbo was so big? What RPM did you hit peak boost?

I've broke my trans twice with a TVS1900...Clutches were fused together and output shaft was actually twisted and snapped in 2! lol, 2nd gear, clutches were burnt out.. no hard part damage.. but trasnfer case has got alot of play!
