true, my bad dunno why i was thinking lq9, myself its crossed my mind about getting a D1 just hadnt brought myself to do it yet, since the truck is running low 11s NA then fixing to run some juice through it, probably sometime next year i'll change the whole setup and try a procharger

So many variables...
LQ9 has 10.5:1 compression. That will limit your "safe" levels. I'd say 500-550rwhp could be safe with the proper cam and tune on 93 octane. If you add meth injection, then more boost and timing could get you more.

im running on 14 psi p.g custom cam lq4 i use to have an lq9 on 150 nos but cracked piston #7 too i seen alot of lq9's do that i wonder if u swap the pistons only if that would work

ok, im asking because im trying to stay on a very tight budget and when i add in a cam $400, ati balancer $475, plus i still have to get the 8 rib pulley which is $250 its adding up FAST.

i already have the patriot dual gold extremes. and i was already planning on pushrods. did you ever run the stock cam? how much power has some one made with a stock lq9 or lq4 with only valve springs, and rod bolts?
