Default which 6.0 is better for boost

is the lq4 or is the lq9 better for a boosted motor.

well this is my situation i am about to buy a low milage 6.0 i have a whipple and i will be intercooling it soon and what to know how much boost i can run on the 6.0l can i run more with the lq4 or the lq9.

LQ4 would be better for a forced induction application due to its lower compression ratio... Which would allow you to put more psi into the engine without blowing gaskets.

12psi or less i'd take the LQ9. more than that i'd go with the LQ4. intercooled only though.

You think a stock LQ4 can take 12#'s? Just wondering because I'm getting one. I'm sure the radix can't feed it that much though.....

i don't think a radix can feed more than 10psi to a 6.0L even with the 2.75 pulley.

I've heard that ASP will make a custom larger crank pulley... not that it would be of any real benefit...

nope. I'm just gonna make 1 or 2 runs at NED this week. Timing will be dropped down to about 10deg at WOT and i'm running lots of methanol and VP Motorsport 109 fuel. It's uleaded 101 octane. It's supposed to be cold out this week too. If the rain holds out.
