I have been looking and calling around for a blower for this 8.1L suburban... No one make one any more.

I really like procharger, friends have had good luck out of them on the GTO's vettes and camaros...

Anyway procharger does not make one for the 8.1L they do make them for the 6.0L, 7.4L and bigger. Just not a 8.1L.

So i was looking on e bay and ran across this kit for a 502ci motor...

My question is whats the big difference in a 496ci 8.1L and the 502 ci motor?

I guess what im asking is why could i not buy one from something else and make it work?

 

main problem is going to be bolt pattern on the head for mounting a bracket. I believe the 8.1 is unique in that effect and different from everything else.

 

I know where there is a complete 8.1 whipple kit sitting around.

I didn't remove it personally but I was told that it was complete.
