Default 5.3l with a m112

Planning to put an m112 off of a ford svt on my RCSB. Not sure if I will need an intercooler sandwiched between the blower and Holley low ram.

Please let me know if this is a must have. It will be a daily but I won’t push too much boost. I believe that the m112 has coolant lines but not sure if that is enough to keep the IAT’s down low enough.

thanks

If it has coolant lines going to it, it should have an intercooler already.

You definitely need a heat exchanger with an MP112. Those things get super hot. I would also recommend a larger coolants reservoir to increase coolant capacity.

Curious to see how you adapt an OEM Ford MP112 with intercooler brick to a low ram and keep it under the cowl along with the cost to do so.

Copy that.

I will likely do a write up of this project after its completion. Will be a while until then, maybe expect updates this summer.

For those that want to do something similar, or understand my plans, check out Daniel’s designs on YouTube. Very neat work he did on his c10 with a gt500 blower.

hopefully everything will fit underneath the hood. No clue what I’ll do if it doesn’t, I’m just gonna go for it.

Costs should be around 500 for blower, 800 for sws adapter plate, 300 for an intercooler rig and 600 for lo-ram. Of course I’m leaving a lot out but that is some basic costs analysis.

Demuse engineering has an adapter plate just needs a magnuson lower tub with intercooler. Richard Holdner did and episode on it.
