one way you can tell for sure is block off the wg and the boost doesn't go up any more. thats what we did. it just doens't have any more left in it. without going to that extreme you can watch your iat's. they will start going up quickly and you wont be geting the hp increases you had been seeing with previous boost adjustments.

Ok, that makes sense. So then a bigger A/R wouldn't do much good either because it's the compressor wheel itself that's maxed out right?

we swaped the exhaust housing from a .68 to a .96 and did get a little more power up top but nothing too crazy. they have diferent exhaust wheels. that might allow it to make more power. i dont know if it is the hot side of the compresor side that is out but i would bet they are both prety much out of breath. if we wanted more power it would be a good time to step up to at least a gts76 but with that we would run out of fuel pump, injector, rear axles, tranny, tire, cage, motor... prety much everything in the car would need to be upgraded.

That first graph is sweet! 100rwhp and an additional 1000 rpms to play with over the stock cam. Not a bad mod for $75.

What difference do you guys think an 02 z06 cam would make in the same scenario?

See, i told ya that a Z06 cam makes a BIG difference over a stock cam and mine being a 02 was a little bigger, but I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference over the 01. It was by far the best bang for the buck I ever did on my truck. The turbo loves that bit of extra lift.

Was this comparison done with the .68 A/R, or the .96 A/R housing?

.96

we are going to try and hit up a 1/4 mile track next weekend and see what it has in it. if we can hook at all it should be knocking on a high 9 but we will see. since our injectors and fuel pump and motor and axles and tranny and who knows what else are all about maxed out at this setting i doubt we will be going for any more hp.
