5.3 to 6.0 lq4 swap with procharger questions
I know this has been covered before i cant get a straight answer. Looking at a 03 lq4 with 40k miles locally for $1000 engine only. Will this bolt directly to my 4l60e? Will my computer work? I know it needs a retune. I am running 44lb injectors walbro intank and 8 psi... do I need 60's? I've done tons of searching... lots of mixed thoughts on what is right. Is 1000 a fair price for the engine? Thanks fellas.

1000 sounds like a fair/good deal considering the mileage. Can they verify the mileage?
I would say you should start looking into a 80E swap. I am guessing your 60E is built?
As far as injector I am not the one to answer that question. I assume that your new engine will be need more fuel though (more injectors too) so maybe your tuner can answer that.

Its a friend of a friend with the motor... don't think he would hose me by saying it has less miles. My trans, 4l60e is bone stock. I don't plan on sticking it at the track so I would think it would live behind the 6.0?

It might for a little while but if you drive your truck hard it is not going to last forever. Some people have had good luck while others have replaced multiple 60E's in their trucks (double digits).
