Is 45,000 miles (70,000km) to old for a Radix?

Do it!
I put my Radix on my 5.3 when it had 35,000 miles on it. Ran like a bat out of hell till I pulled it at 118,000 miles for a 6.0. I pulled the 5.3 apart and it looked like it could have been brand new inside! You will be 100% fine as long as your engine has been maintained well.

So I have one last question, as I need to decide tomorrow if I am going to drop my truck off for the s/c install while I am gone for 2 weeks on vacation.
Everything is a go if I want to put the s/c on, but now that it has come time to pull the trigger, I am getting cold feet due to the nature of the vehicle. It is an SLE, with cloth seats and none of the creature comforts of my Denali. So not to offend anyone, but this is a pretty base model and it kinda feels like putting lipstick on a pig (poor analogy...but hard to describe spending 8k on a vehicle with a black book value of 12k or so......), if you know what I mean. Having said that, it does have very nice 22's on it, and the alternative (buying a 2007 Denali) is about a 25 k increment rather than the 8k Cdn increment to have my local speedshop put on the Radix (with some new wires and plugs as well).
Think I am gonna do it while I still have the cash and spousal support.
One question though, should I have the shop run a compression test on the engine first? Should be cheap to do, right? I mean the engine runs just fine but I want to make sure I don't have any hidden hissues BEFORE I strap on the blower. Or should I just say BONZAI? I must say that Parish post on the 600 hp 5.3 being so sturdy really has me pumped.
Decisions, Decisions..........
