Default 3" v-band diameter

Hello, I have a 3'' Vibrant Performance stainless steel vband clamp, and it is slightly larger in OD than the flange on the back of my MP T70 turbo, anyone see this before? I can't see it sealing very well unless they are the same diameter? Probably a 16th of an inch bigger all the way around. Maybe its possible to get it machined down? This was a $90 clamp....

As long as its not so big as to not allow the clamp to make contact with the smaller flange it should work fine. The flange I used on my downpipe is slightly larger than the one on my turbo and it works fine.

The flat surface seals not the outside. Is should be tapered on the edge away from where it seals. When you tighten down the clamp it should seal without a problem.

Took me a bunch of them to find one that would match up really well, I think I ended up with an obx. Problem with the dp flange being smaller od is that you can have misalignment and crappy seal if you aren't careful installing it. OBX has an alignment/sealing rim that is really nice.
