2015 Whipplerado project

Higgs Boson installed the lash cap WITH the LT4 cam and it bottomed out and pulled the treads out of the block where the pump mounts. You can use the lash cap on the L83-L86-LT1 cam but not the LT4 GEN V camshaft.

Thanks for the post it is fun to learn about other builds. I have always been torn between the Whipple and Magnuson products and also very intrigued with the new modern turbo set ups.

From: Tinker till it blows, then back it off a notch, maybe!!
c7 section of vette forum has at least one writeup. with pics, p/n's etc.
mind you, no whipple
$250 for a set of new 6.2L injectors is kind of cheap and if you're looking for more power, is a good way to go. there's a writeup on swapping injectors, also on the vette forum, but the oem method mentions over a grand in special tools.
I replaced both (1 time use) hard fuel lines, but was able to get the injectors out with a motorcycle tire changing tool and a large flat head screwdriver. If anyone needs more details, let me know

After hunting around for a cam, Ive decided to delete AFM.
(Change lifters, plug holes etc...)
Seems like I will need bigger fuel lobe anyways. The funny thing is even with a 38% or 32% fuel lobe, both Brian Tooley, Vengeance, and TSP say a lash cap is still needed for fuel. I told them im not going to too high on horsepower and they still couldnt tell me why I would need the lash cap with a larger fuel lobe.
Confusing stuff.

I asked vengeance about the lash cap with the (33%)larger lobe.
This was their response....
From our experience the lash cap is always required when running a larger fuel lobe. They achieve the larger lobe by cutting down the base circle which in turn leaves the pump with too much lash at the bottom of its rotation. This is HIGHLY recommended to run and is installed without issue on all of our in-house builds.
I also asked about the limit on the L83 injector. I was curious.
3) The limit of the injector will be based on what fuel you are using. That being said we can typically see ~500rwhp on pump gas without methanol injection on this fuel system.
