Default 2004 Silverado 2500 4wd Quadrateer turbo install....done

2004 Silverado 2500 4wd with Quadrasteer

Trick hot side, Magnum Performance T70 q-trim with .96 turbine housing, custom cold side, LS7 MAF in 3.5" tube, Deatchwerks 60# truck style injectors, TI Automotive TU64HP drop-in 450 lph fuel module.

In regards to the fuel module I searched and searched and only came up with solutions where you needed to modify the fuel bucket. This engineered solution literally dropped in and all factory connectors were plug-and-play ... super easy. Measured fuel pressure at the rail was 58 psi +\- 1.5 psi and after the install was the same. I had heard rumors that this pump would actually flow too much fuel for the stock regulator to bypass. Went up into the mountains yesterday on a long slow trip and truck got plenty of work / hot and everything worked perfectly.

Awesome. I am currently running a racetronix 255 drop in module. I emailed TI just now about a 450 module like yours for the return style. How much was it?

About $380 through Jegs or Summit.

Based on what I've found TI Automotive is a large manufacturer / supplier of fuel systems for OEM's. From what I can tell they acquired the automotive aftermarket segment of Walbro and started offering pumps and fuel modules, even high performance versions, as part of their "TI Automotive High-Performance Solutions".

TI Automotive | Fluid Thinking.?

These pumps and fuel modules are now offered by Holley. I'm not positive that the TU464HP (TI Automotive's #) crosses to Holley 12-954, but it sure does look to be the case:

Perhaps at SEMA this year there will be more information.

What are you turbo guys doing for exhaust? I want whisper quiet, yet high flow / low restriction.

I originally had my 3" DP going to a 3"-to-4" transition, into a m085171 Donaldson muffler (40" long, 37" body, 4" in/out, 8.5" body....straight thru), then out of the muffler to a 4" Duramax over the axle tailpipe with 5" tip. It was loud at idle, and just off idle, but the cruise and WOT were very acceptable. I did NOT expect this set up to have this much tone with my excessively large muffler!! I also did NOT like the way a 5" tip looked, so I ditched it and started to experiment. I took the tip off and that quieted it down some, and then I necked the tailpipe down from 4" to 3" right at the end, and that quieted it down further.

I then bought a 3" tailpipe and adapted it to the 4" muffler with a 4"-to-3" coupler. It has a 3" tip and this set up is just about perfect, but still has a little "rattiness" at idle and off idle to 1400 RPM. I'm making the assumption that my mega-muffler isn't getting a work out when exhaust gas flow is super low (idle / off idle), and perhaps I should have made the entire system in 3".......or 3.5"

Needs a resonator pipe. That changes the tone around.

How much do you think you've got wrapped up in the entire build? I've been kicking around the idea of throwing some boost at my quadrasteer too.
