What RPM is your engine running at the end of the quarter mile? What gear are you in? What does the torque curve look like for your engine? Are you purely looking at getting through the lights with a quicker ET? Locking the TC at all? Thinking about a higher stall?

Sorry, I've got alot of questions that I think you should answer before you change up your rear gear.

Going through the traps in the top of third at 6k or so. Tired to bring to shift points down and went through the traps in 4th one time and I dont think the trans like it very much so wont do that again. As far as the tq curve goes this new set up has not been on a dyno. No going through the traps faster is not the onlything that im looking for. If I did a 342 it would load the motor harder and get me away from the 5800-6000 rpm range where the engine doesnt seem to make a giant amount of power. So the way I see it I can move all shift pionts down and stop kicking the **** out of the engine spinning it to the moon. Like I said the truck makes great low and mid range power according to my ***-dynometer lol. Im leaving the light between 2800-3000 so I dont realy need any more converter, plus I like pulling my boat to the lake. 342 would help on the freeway too
