07 vortec max turbo help
#1
Hey guys, i have a 2007 vortec max 6.0L extended cab chevy. I'm looking to put a turbo into it pretty quickly, i read the sticky on different companies and I'm kind of torn between the trick performance and kb turbo kits. What I'm looking to get out of the kit is a reasonable amount of hp gain nothing to crazy mind you its a daily. Now my question is will it work with my engine that has the v8/v4 6.0L, what is in your opinion my best route(like everyone else id prefer cheaper than expensive) and just in general I'm new to the turbo scene do you run the turbo of one side of the engine? My thoughts were i had to come up with a way in running it off both sides? Thanks a lot for the help guys I'm looking to get this project on the road right away.

Trick or KB are both very nice units, and many many members can testify to that. I ordered a KB and the quality is top notch. Twins are nice, but a properly sized single turbo can meet all of your goals very easily. Both kits will have a crossover pipe that goes from the collector of the driver side stock exhaust manifold, the crossover tube connects to a log manifold that replaces the passenger side exhaust manifold, then the turbo sits to the front of the log manifold.
IMO a turbo is not something to jump into. Everyone would like to get into forced induction as fast as possible, but I believe forced induction is something you should spend about a month researching to find what you need/want from a system. I researched/bought parts for 6 months, of course part of that wait was because I have too many bills that take away from truck funds.

You will need a solid tuner that knows how to tune our trucks.
Let the tuner know what your plans are and be real.
With our kits you will need
final exhaust
injectors
tuning.
We have some new kits from the website coming out using different turbos, larger intercoolers, and air/water intercoolers. Feel free to drop a line or pm if we can help with your project.
