Default 01 Sierra build up

I was not sure on where to put this but thought this was the best place for it. I've been buying parts for my truck here and there for over a year and I finnaly have most of the stuff to really get going. The truck is a 2001 gmc sierra. Plans are to redo the complete suspension, get the truck to weigh around 3300lbs, drop in the 408 and s480. The truck is going to be bagged and bodydropped. It will also have brackets for coil overs out back for track duty. So far heres a list of what I have.

408 built by Erick and the guys at HKE
4l80e That needs to be built
S480 Turbo
Ford 9"
Synapse wastegate/blow off vavle
1/2 header flanges
1.75" SS header tubing
2.5" SS tubing for hot side
4" SS tubing for cold side
4" SS tubing for DP
15x14 Weld pro stars with 33x10.5 mt
walbro 255 dual intake pumps, fuel rails etc..

So Far I've started working on the frame. I'm going to build a 4 link out back, replace all the bulky crossmember with 1.50 tubing, build new tranny crossmember, build tubular k member up front and tubular a arms. Heres some pics. This is my first turbo build so any suggestions are really appreciated. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions later.

Sound like a good plan and a great start you have there. Should be a hell of a truck when you get it done.

sounds like a badass build, bagged and body dropped too. thats sick. im building a tube chassis chevy colorado thats gonna be bagged and body dropped. i wish i would of just done a ls1 and built tranny with a blower or turbo rather than going with a old school sbc and 700r4. but you live and you learn. get more pics up.

Yeah they do. I've known Erik for some time now. He use to teach at SAM when I went there. Maybe 4yrs ago.
Heres todays progress. Cut out the remaing cross members out back. I'm going to put the 4 link on the inside of the frame rails and make a cage for the fuel cell in the back.

this is what ride height will look like. About 3" off the ground.

Heres a pic of the weight reduction.

what tire is that? looks good, basically what I wanted to do with my '01 by tubing the rear and doing almost a "k member" style front.

i think that 408 with a turbo is going to twist that rear frame like a wet noodle, hehe hopfully your going to fully box it in and do some more reinforcement
