The # was somewhere around 60, and with that kind of noise it's part of the reason the class was done last year. Plenty of people said host the class and they would show. But to have about a 1/5 of them show, the $$ and sponser dollars aren't loking good for a small turnout and can be invested in other avenues. Bummer but have to see both sides of it. Got a fast enough truck, run the index class.

The whole LSX Shootout is a blast, come if you can. We still can race in the index classes with the LS cars and try to end up with a all truck finals? This was my first year running in the True Street class and it was so much fun. Race some, Drink some, and Eat some, what more could you ask for? Besides a Win.

Yes, except you pick a index before the race starts. Like I run the 12.0 index, so I try run as close as possible without breaking out and try to cut a better light than your opponent. The big difference is you cannot change your index during the whole weekend after picking your index. If I run all the way out the back, I will run 11.80 so change my shift points with HP Tuner just a little and play with the gas and brake pedal. So pick a slower index than what you actually run. I bracket race through year, so it is good pratice for the LSX Shootout. Only difference is, when I bracket race I run footbrake class, which is 1/8 mile race.

Hopefully there will be a good showing of trucks this year and that will spark some interest in having an all truck class next year. I say show them that you want a class by going to the show not by bitching about it and not entering because of this.

I'm even going to run my truck... atleast if it breaks it aint far from home!

If all goes well I plan on it. Not sure which index I want to manipulate the truck for yet though.
