Default Hurricane Matthew pics

so matthew didnt "hit" virginia, but we sure are feeling the effects of it....

At 9;45pm the water was damn near to the hubs on the 99

And to the body on the yukon....

I moved my car into the yard.... Figure it afforded me about an extra 6-8 inches

Wow. That as high as it got? If it is, looks like you made it out clean. I'm sure any neighbors with cars in the street will be making insurance calls today. Good call with the Camaro in the yard. I'm sure it'd feel like it belongs there if it were a 3rd gen .

Stay safe! Hopefully the worst has passed.

No it got higher, at one point my 35s were damn near completely submerged.... Woke up to being able to see the top inch or so of the rim and water still over the step bars on the truck....

So far there is no water in the 99, the yukon i was able to drive around earlier, but it kept trying to cut off randomly and radio would come on and off, air bag light was on and service air bag, park assist and tpms messages were on with intermittent cutting out of window switches, and no xm radio message due to lack of communication error. And after driving it around for about 2 hours earlier, got back to the house had to back through the prking lot and go across the street to borrow the neighbors fridge and it died in their front yard... It acts like its getting no fuel.... Waiting for water to recede so i can get under it and disconnect the x300 connector and see if its just water in there causing it....

This was about an hour or so ago... Only issue with the 99 was i had to jump it, which i kind of expected... Been having issues with battery drain if it sits for more than 2-3 days

i got lucky that the damage was minimal there are still people in a lot of places including around here that are still without power and flooded.... Was hoping more people were going to share theor stories and pics in this thread.... They were saying on the local news sunday we got hit as bad as we did because as the cold front that turned matthew was pushing it out to sea it turned it into a noreaster and the meteorologists did not see that coming...
