The question shouldn't be "should you" but "which weekend will you"

You can definitely do 12psi with meth and a tune -- I did it on an LQ9 I'd think with the lower CR of the 5.3, it should be doable to hit 14psi with out much cursing.

 

Thats the question -when? Well,my wife is due with our 3rd kid in the beginning of Aug. So that would be a good time since I'll have a week or 2 off

You'll be fine. You obviously know how to tune, and that is the most important part of the longevity of the motor. Look at what Parish was pushing through stock motors.

 

You know 5.3's suck. I vote for the 6.0 w/ or w/o the turbo.
OR take my long block and bore/strole that 6.0 for ME!

 

I have a brand new 6.0 block sitting here.Thinking I might get a stroker crank and build it just incase

 

Ya man. A low compression 408 running 14lbs of boost!!!
OR you could run Matts forged 4.8 w/turbo and hook me up with that stroker!

 

You never know when you'll need to get to the hospital really fast!
