Also the unported L92 intake doesn't flow well enough to show impressive hp number in high rpm. They recommend porting it or swapping to something else like ls3 or fast.

What was the torque numbers? Did TSP recommend the cam... seems like alot of duration and lift for a L92 headed motor. There are arguments everywhere and dynos both ways...and im in the minority probably, but I prefer cathedrals ALL DAY over square ports on 6.0 and smaller ci. But when I do see L92 heads on 6.0s I see better results with cams in lower durations and bigger splits. Im sure others have different opinions but thats just mine .

Yes texas speed did recommend the cam. Its their "best dyno result cam" without flycutting.

I hear what you're saying about the 4l80 but i've seen some other comparisons stating around 20. Stall plays a factor as well. Those were factory converters

I really want to believe there is something wrong but several tuners all say thats pretty on point.

Im looking into either vic jr setup or ls2porworks because everybody agrees truck intake cut peak hp #s

I have a new 4l80e problem. Not shifting at wot. Going to try solenoids this weekend. Any other ideas?

I have the same problem with a heads cam long tube 5.3. The hell with dyno numbers. It's all bout the 60'. I'm trying to get mine down. 8.1 is moving on a motor pass I would be super happy with that if it is on a stock suspension truck. All that means is you can start dropping time more and more. 7.5? I think you can get it if the setup is right.

On the other hand. If the tune is crap then the truck isn't right. Good luck man.

Find someone to scan the PCM and post the tune for us to look at. (seriously)

Honestly, that is a huge cam for a DD. Sure, it'll make more power but power doesn't get the truck moving, torque does.

It could be anything that's causing your issues. These trucks suck with a stock tune and even a "good" tuner, most times, won't know to tune the burst knock table, timing in between shifts, tuning PE mode (taking out the delay) and TM. I've seen so called "tuned" trucks with the PE mode left at the default 5k rpm activation and a 60sec delay. You're not going to make max power/torque this way.

What injectors are in the truck? Do you know what duty cycle you're running on the injectors? I personally know what my duty cycle is, even though I am NA, it still good to know. You could be running out of injectors.

How much timing is your tuner commanding? Are you running on 91-93 octane? These motors respond very well to more timing.

I'm not bashing you or your ride, I'm attempting to get you to understand there is a lot of factors that come into play when tuning.

But to another posters credit, dyno numbers mean dick. It's about how the truck feel/drives at the end of the day.

My old 370 always made 380 no matter what heads I had on it. The last set up it had stock l92 heads with a 244/248 .612/.615 cam, Vic jr and 4150 tb.. Made 383. But I also those cone inserts in my exhaust to try and make it quieter, pulled those out and it made 428.. A lot of people say these motors need back pressure. I'm not a fan of back pressure.. I'd pull those ultra flows off and go back and see what it does ..you do have dual 3" correct ???
