Default LQ9 cammed dyno 314hp/332tq

Got the truck dynoed today. Lq9 with 317's, 228/230 cam @ .585 lift 112LSA, long tubes into 3" Y pipe, stock exhaust back. 5" intake into stock TB and manifold. Flexfuel injectors on stock fuel pump. Tuned on 93. Ran in 3rd gear through a built 4l60e through 3.73 gears. 20" wheels from a new truck with 285's. E-fans. Thought it would make more on a DynoJet. Any thoughts based on the graph?

What’s the cam LSA? I think the stock exhaust is choking it up top.

It should pull further than that up top.

Power started falling off so I didn't see a reason to keep pulling. Don't want to grenade the 4l60 either!! I had thought the cam would keep making power instead of falling off at 5500 given the specs.

Easy to cut off or unbolt the muffler and go for a rip just to see. The plumbing can support a lot, and long tubes/ no cats already clears that restriction

can try it the the y pipe disconnected from the rest of the exhaust too, eliminate the tubing size if you're worried

What were you expecting? Stock 6.0s make ~300, so imo you aren't far off from what I would have expected. If you can rev it out further, you'll make more power. Tq*RPM/5252. Get more RPM in it 🤘🏻

Edit: sorry I thought I saw you were making 391, not 314. My bad; exhaust removal still applies

Well with that cam I and supporting mods I was thinking I'd make more than 314, the cam is supposed to be good for 60+ hp. I have a buddy with a very small tow cam 5.3 that made 295 with mechanical fans and shorty headers. I was hoping for closer to 340-350 out of it. Don't want to spin the 4l60e much past 6k, 6.5k tops. These just seem closer to cammed 5.3 numbers to me.

Was hoping for 340-350. I will give that a shot.

Here's a thread with from a guy with a smaller cam than mine, 3.5" exhaust instead of mine and a fipk intake, made ~50hp more than me. Seems like a big difference for just an intake and 1.25" larger exhaust, no?
