Once you add boost it will shift the power curve down a lot. That BTR cam would work well with a blower also.

Kinda - front suspension is a Camburg Gen 1 Long Travel kit with 8" King Coilovers. The rear is Deaver F87 leafs with rear drop shackles from Mazzulla and front drop brackets from McGaughy's. So technically it has no lift in the rear lol. I am running 37" Grabbers and the rear axle is a Dana 60 out of a 3/4 ton E-250 van.

This is how it sits next to my ford with an 8" lift on 40" tires

Very true - thinking of building a blower engine for my z car as that's what I planned for the 5.3 that came out of the truck. Probably save the cam for that and get the BTR for the truck.

For what they cost used and if it wouldn't require too much modification to your fuel system you might want to try a stock L92 intake. I'm sure you will lose peak numbers but I would think it help down low.

I thought about that - I have one (l92 intake) sitting in my garage that I was going to use originally but then I messed up the fuel rails and decided to upgrade. It's still good to go, I just need to sort out the fuel rails.

Too bad that Hi-Ram isn't as much of an upgrade as I thought.

I also decided against using the stock piece because I have heard that the #7 piston gets more air and leans out causing problems. Have people had better luck with them ported? How well do they flow compared to a Fast LSXR intakes when they are ported? I'll search about it later - just wondering if y'all have any input on the subject.

thanks!

I can't help you out but I feel your pain. I got a Edelbrock Pro Flow on my truck and I'm not real happy with the low end of my truck either when it's not in boost. Our setups are apples to oranges though, so if I offered you any advise, I'd be talking out of my ***. The only thing I do know is those Fast intakes are not cheap!

Btw if you were there for your dyno tune you probably saw my black 05 sitting next to the dyno. I saw you were also in AZ and I recognize that dyno.

Yup, saw it sittin there. They mentioned something about it while I was there but I forgot. Guess I was too preoccupied with my truck

And yup - Keith's Dyno seems to be the standard for measurement out here lol

I called fast and talked to them about whether they were going to make the lsxrt intakes for the trucks with rectangular port heads and was basically told until they can figure out how to improve on the gm intake they have no plans to release anything, they couldnt improve on the l92/l96/ly6 truck intakes that they came with from the factory! Needless to say i decided that day to start looking for a good used intake and found one for $175 and lucked out with it having either 36 or 40lb/hr injectors already installed in it....have also heard porting them can lead them to crack... Rev the engine one time and watch a factory intake.... They breathe!!! I had to double check mine for cracks when i started the truck up the first time, lol!!!
