avg hp is off since he cut off a little late. its my best run and just a random run from in the middle of tuning

 

damn those are some damn good numbers right there as long as you get traction i think youll be in the 12s no problem

well another 4.8 over in georgia dynoed 325 and 31x tq running 13.2 all day long so i dont see how its not possible

 

Well, i dynoed 318/285 (TC unlocked) and my truck runs a 13.4 in the heat, a buddy of mine with a 5.3 dyno 33x/33x and he runs a 13.4 in the heat basically same mods... Dyno's are just a tool to tune with, take it too the track and see what it does...


Impressive graph! that TQ curve looks flat, i am assuming that was with the TC locked.

 

hp/tq numbers are not everything. you need to have the right converter, gears, suspension, tires, ect... you'd really have to 60' the hell out it to get 12's. and have an impressive top end. but prove me wrong, that would be great too.

 

those are some of the best N/A numbers ive seen from a 4.8. if your converter/traction is up to it, i dont see why 12's arent in the bag

 

Flame the newbie from bringing up an old thread. I just wanted to subscribe in case anything new happened. Nice to see a 4.8 putting out good numbers and times. I day dream all the time about what I "need" to do to mine like an engine swap, but at the moment I think I'd be happy with really really low 14's to high 13's so this makes me happy thinking it may be easier then I thought possible before.

 

That's some great numbers Blake! I can't believe that I missed this thread. Have you had a chance to run it at the track yet?
