Default KBRacing PT88 5.3 and some fun

First and foremost, This setup made the power it made repeatably over 6 dyno pulls with no nitrous and smallest snow stage 1 boost nozzle on 15lbs boost with a small boost leak on a DynoCom dyno

KBRacing pt 88 kit (nitroplated black pipes) with same intercooler as Foose04
STOCK 5.3 shortblock and 706 heads outta wrecked 04 Tahoe with 40 k miles
SLP old 234/228 113 cam, been in 5 different vehicles
LS9 headgaskets and ARP studs
Edelbrock intake and cable 90mm throttle body
4" dp and 4" exhaust with 4" Magnaflow race can dumped before rearend
Nitrous Outlet 50hp dry kit on low boost runs when noted
Circle D 2c 4l80 converter and local 4l80e trans +HD2
14 bolt swap with 3.42 gears and 235/60/16 tires (they were really cheap)

444hp and 445hp runs were with 7lbs and no nitrous, 491hp run was with 7lbs and 50hp dry shot, other 2 runs on first pic were screwups on my part

BP 92 octane all runs!

662/634, correct? Those are some badass numbers man.

Any plans to take it to the track in the spring?

I built it for last years Hot Rod Mag Drag Week. But I ended up taking out the first 4l80e the week before the event. I'm jumping at the bit waiting for a track around here to open up.

Correct 662 rwhp, but the track will be the number I reallly care about.

Off to a damn good start my friend, great numbers! Thats a big snail! Looks like the 5.3L is just cutting it as far as giving you enough low end to still 60". From there you won't go below 4800-5k on shifts so should roll out nice on the big end.

What all you have setup to help it hook?

I've been building this truck for on/off the last year and half. Suspension wise, it's McGauphy 2"front/4" rear drop, all rear crossmembers removed and replaced with a 3"x5"x3/16" crossmember and 2 other smaller3/16" rect tube crossmembers. Rear mounted QA1's, my own version of Caltracs with more spring leverage. 22 gallon fuel cell over the *** end, still running the rear bumper. For the track I'll be using a 50-75 shot off the line to get the turbo spooled then try boost through 2 and 3 gears on 28x12.5x16 et streets with M&H racemaster fronts

For some reason I can't direct link the vid, heres one showing my just found pin hole leak in the 3" to 3.5" charge pipe
