Default Hit the rollers today @ EPS

Went to EPS today had Geoff do alil clean up and adjusting on my tune.
I had a idle/surge issue we couldnt figure out so i got some professional help.
Got it lined out and made 2 pulls.
My 1st time ever to put this truck on the dyno!

MODS...
vortec 5.3
LTs,E-fans,CAI,212/218 lowlift,yank tt3000, 3.42 gear,Tuned
22 Inch magnaflow muff run out the stock location

PULLS MADE IN 2ND GEAR ON A DYNOJET DYNO
301hp...power didnt fall off till about 6400rpm
I thaught the numbers were low but i was told thats what right on parr with other cammed 5.3s on this dyno.I expected about 320-330.
Not really affected by the lower number because the truck has been 13.8s@99.6 and feels stronger since we cleaned up the tune.

numbers sound low to me too. Hate to see how low mine are! Your truck still rolls out with only 300rwhp.

I wouldn't be ashamed of that. You have enough mph for low 13's maybe high 12's, Prob run up in the 100's with the tuning.

cammed 5.3s usually put down 330hp, but if your happy with the way it runs, thats what counts

My old h/c/i 4.8 only dynoed 318/280 but it ran a 13.2 at the track. I would not worry about your numbers

Like i said this perticular dyno with cammed 5.3s average 300hp
Stock trucks put down 240 on this dyno
The truck runs good for being such a mild setup.

I agree, Im such a power ***** tho, i can live with driving around a 4400 stalled 230 cammed 4.8, if i had one.....lol

I have debated on going with a low lift comp cam too, and its numbers like yours that validate that!
