A stock fuel pump should be good to well over 400RWHP. You may have a week pump, but I would bet there to be more problems than that. What was the fuel pressure? I assume before he told you that the fuel pump was bad he actually checked it. What year is the truck?

Its a 2003. I have no idea what the fuel pressure was. Stock fuel pump is good even with FI? What other problems could there be?

The stock fuel pump isn't the best way to go, but I've worked on many 6.0L's running the stock pump with a Radix. Not on max effort trucks, but either way they made alot more power than you're seeing. Right now you're making the power a good cammed 6.0L makes with bolt on's. This is why I ask, did he check fuel pressure or is he guessing? How is the fuel filter? Pressure regulator? I'm not mocking him, but even running it that lean at all makes you question something.

Yeah I understand your questioning, makes me wonder why I didnt ask more. He didnt do any testing. Just said it was the pump but sounded sure about it. I know a few people making over 400 and the stock pump is fine too. I should check all that stuff before I just assume. But I figure if or when I swich to a bigger motor, a bigger fuel pump wouldnt hurt.
