Steering wander 2000 F350
#1
Hello, my name is Cameron and I just bought a real nice F350. This is my first post so, please forgive if this subject is well covered. I searched and didn't find much, I could be my searching skills.
So here is my question:
I have a 2000 F350 and the steering sucks. It wanders from side to side while going down the road. The tires are new and the tie-rod ends don't appear to be worn out. I tried tightening the steering box by loosening up the jam nut and giving the screw a turn or so. It seamed to get rid of a lot of the slop in the steering wheel but it still wanders. I can't tighten the steering box any more as it is becoming stiff to turn, so I have to back it off a little.
Does anyone have the same problem? and more important; has any of you ever fixed this problem?
Any and all advice is welcome,
Thank you,
Cameron
