need help with transmission
a buddy of mine has a 2wd 01 f150 and he was backing up his driveway when his trans made a loud pop and lost reverse. i know he broke a hard part and it needs to be replaced. im trying to figure out what trans he has so i can order the correct one from monster transmission.

It could be one of two units. Either a 4R70W or a 4R100. If it has 20 pan bolts then its a 4R100. If you would like to shoot me a PM with a pic I could tell you for sure. HTH Vince
