was up guys, i just came back from the track and am very dissapointed with my times. i ran 3 times and all 3 times i ran 15.0, my reaction time was.447 and 60' was 2.272 all 3 times. the truck feels alot stronger with the cam and tune but i can only manage a 15.0. the truck is a 2000 extended cab with a 5.3, it has a ls6 cam, k&n cai, tb spacer, electric fans, no cats, flowmaster, 2000 stall converter, shift kit, corvette servos, 4.11 gears, and a wheatley tune. i think that my biggest down fall is traction. i don't have a posi in it and have 55/70/17 tires with are huge. what do you guys think? i think i should be in the high to mid 14.

With full bolt ons and stock 265/70/17 tires my best was 15.03@94mph......I never broke 14's damn it!
Take out the TB spacer, run some slicks and practice. It's not as easy as it looks to go fast.

The 60' is hurting you, but not just horribly. No offense but, your MPH isn't that great and even with good traction I think you'll only knock a few tenths off of your time. You might need to have your tune gone over again cause I would expect more than that with the mods you have.

Even in my ZO6 the cam doesn't come on hard untill 3500...real hard at 4000 and that's a 346 ci. Also, it goes without saying that if you can't hook you're wasting your time. You gotta have power going to both wheels first, then I highly recommend a bigger stall with that cam...or just put a small shot on it for out of the hole torque. With a stall and traction you would be DEEP into the 14's. Good luck!

What was the weather like when you ran??
