I am not sure what it will be like on a track. On the street I spin off the line for a good 2-3 seconds. I figured that I could launch a lot harder out of the hole in 4wd also. Should I do it in auto 4wd or 4hi?

I have to take off in 4hi also, anything less and i am spinning all the way down the track.
I accidently left 100' of tire the other day at a friend's house. I literally had no idea that both tires were spinning the whole time as i drove off .

Wish the F'N rain would stop already, seems like 3 months since i've seen the sun!

You guys are not stock duh..... lol

His truck is basically stock and thus might not need to launch in 4wd unless track prep is crap or he does a burnout prior to staging (which a lot of new people do before they realize its not needed on street tires). Mine didnt most of the time.

To answer your question, yes use 4HI, then hit 2wd once you start moving and it should shift out just fine. Once you start making big HP that trick doesnt always work anymore though and you have to run 4Hi all the way through the 1/4

Do not drag race in Auto 4wd, 4 hi only.
Its bad for some part as it all of a sudden engages, when it in 4wd from the tsrat there is less stress on parts.

Exactly what he said, but to clarrify, auto 4wd only auto enguages 4wd when you have wheel spin. If it doesn't tear something up on the track surface it will slow your time down non the less.

I am really wanting to hit low 15's high 14's. Is that just not possible with the mods that i have and removing my spare and the tail gate? I still have a factory waranty so I am kind of limited to the mods that I can do, not to mention that I am college student. I really thought that my tb spacer would cut at least .5 off my Ets.

I still have 6 months/16,000 miles left on my warranty...... Not to sure i could make use of it anymore though without going through a few removals.

What mod should i do next to ensure that I will hit 14's? Something that doesn't cost $4,000 and won't void my warranty.
