Default what street tires are the 4x4 guys using?

hey guys, I'm in the mist of getting a new set of shoes for the truck.. I searched but haven't found anyone say much about a decent street tire.. I see that Stock48 has gone 10s on a street tire but they never mention which ones...

I figure more of a SUV tire than a All season radial.. more of a car tire than a knobby tire???

thanks

So I assume you have no winter weather you deal with right??

The nitto nt 420s tires are nice for just street tires with some grip.

no winter weather.. I was looking at those but I thought I saw they only came in 275/50s.. I dont recall I might be getting them confused with falkens...

Watch Stock4.8 chime in and say he used All season All terrains M/S lol...

What size do you want or need?

They make several 20in sizes.

Yep, lol he's just got some stock sized Contenals or something he rapes on the street 95% of the time. Then a set of Hoosires I think he runs at the track or for money races.

I'm working with the stock 17x7.5 wheels the current tires are 265/70/17.. even though they are only 3 years old.. the are hard and show signs of superficial cracking... they are michelins ltx or some thing like that.. the truck starts to burn out in the middle of 1 gear even in 4hi.. so I figured I'd try some fresh rubber and then after hearing Stock48 kicking as with a basic street tire I started t wonder whats a better tire..

Kyle, any way to find out for sure what tire he is kicking *** with...lol???

I use all seasons too and they suck for racing. Same 265 size tire. I'd have to get another summer set for April-November here in buffalo. Any 30-31 inch "street performance" tire would do better than all seasons. Esp if I could get a set an inch or inch+ wider w the same height.

Destination LE2 I think or Pirelli for more $$. #1 & #2 for dry traction on street tires.
