That sucks

how much boost when it happened

9psi. I think the tune was off but I didnt have a wide band or fuel pressure gauge at the time. That happened my one and only track pass, 1/8 mile

Didnt hear any detonation but with the blower and exhaust I guess it would be pretty hard to hear.

Ouch man! sry to hear that.

well maybe it's time to put forged piston and rods to make it stronger.

Sure we can do that. i just broke my tranny last week, and rebuilding it again, i think it's shaft and 3-4 clutch burned.
i'm going with front mount turbo in month or two.
it will be nice to see 11s suvs'

I swapped in a 6L after that, blew it up and now have another 6L in. Its holding up good since I have all the right tuning tools now.
Forged pistons may be in the future.

Long time since i've been on here, but just happened to catch this thread.. on the stock 17's on 10psi i could only manage a 13:72 and 98 in mine. Thats with severe "hopping around" problems and still burning the front tires till god knows when... I"ve got some video's in the video section on here that shows how much the thing hopped around...But anyways..unlike the sierra denali's and SS's..our Denali's have the borg warner center differential that tends to "freak out" when getting thrown alot of power. The front end on my truck lifts up so high that it just blows off the front tires when you try to launch the thing hard..
Hope you get your truck running good!

i think you can go down to low 13s or high 12s with tuning.
who tuned your ride? i made low 14s with 20inch rims with few mods no F.I.
I'm sure you could get better time with your mods now.
i'll post my time up as soon as track opens in jersey.

You need bigger injectors and better programming.

That sounds like a solid bet with the larger injectors, i had a local buddy of mine tune the truck, so i guess maybe i'll have to get the computer sent out to Nelson or someone who really knows what there doing..Thanks guys, never thought this thing would have the potential to be a 12 second truck! That would really make me proud of the big ol' brick!
