So I've got the engine torn down and I was very surprised on what I found. Zero bent rods and all Pistons looks as good as new! I expected to see at least some butted rings or broken ring lands. I'm a little confused on why this happened though. Spun 4 rod bearing and a main bearing. Did I stretch the stock rod bolts to cause the bearings to spin? Can too much rpm cause this? I had just done a fresh oil change and checked oil level before making a pass. It was all up to par.

It means it's time for a bearing set, break in and go for 9s...

Detenatation usually takes the bearings out.

The crank is flexing. Look and see if there is fretting on the main caps were they mate to the block.

Suspension is just basic leaf springs and caltracs. I'll try to take some time to farther inspect the block and crank. Been crazy busy at work this week so we can get all caught up and close the shop for next week.

Why would the crank be flexing? There are people making over 1000hp on stock cranks
