If the knock sensor isn't working properly or is disconnected, over 3 or 4K (can't remember which) you are losing 4 degrees of spark. I had it happen on my Trans Am until I hooked the sensors back up.
He should be able to tell from the HPT file he has of your truck what your shift parameters are.

ok so i gotta get them damn sensors figured out then... i changed both sensors and the harness but its still doing it. it must be my actual main harness itself

on the topic of the cutouts. I have dual 3" cutouts right at the collectors of my pacesetters, and I can tell a HUGE difference on the track... plus, like they said, it sounds pretty nasty
Esp with that cam in an LS1, you need to let it BREATHE, you are choking the hell out of it on the top end I'll be willing to bet.

im getting tuned by Allen Nelson tomorrow @ 3pm, and hitting the track SATURDAY NIGHT for the first time with this motor also. Should i be looking foward to some low 13's in this heat or maybe some 12's
