time slips with the LS1

Not bad for the first time at the track...but your mph looks a little slow even for not having full boltons, What was the DA like? I would be thinking around 100mph for how your truck sits now...it's probably in the tune. Never the less, not bad for the first time!

the tires are 255/60/16s. i have them down around 18.5psi. they are the radial steel belted.
i will try that in the water box next time, i was actually just doing the burnout in the waterbox adn pulling forward a lil while spinning them, i might have still had some water on em

Doing a burn in the box will cause water to get up on the underside of your rig and drip as you go down the track, not good. Roll the rear tires into the box and pull forward, them dry'em off!

a lot of guys do their burnout IN the waterbox and come out spinning... I dont really like this method.. I roll through, turn the tires over once in the water, idle out, and then do my burnout... this has worked best for me.... I've never had a problem driving through the water like some have. At the track here, they wet it down so damn much you cant get around the water anyway LOL...

a line lock? is this like a hydraulic brake instead of doing like a trans brake?

A line lock is a solenoid that goes between the brake reservoir and front line. You pump the brake, hold the pedal, turn on the line lock and release the brakes. The fronts brakes stay compressed while the backs are released. When you brake and gas it, you heat up the rear brakes and the truck is fighting to spin the tires with the brakes on. Not really the best thing for them.

a line lock will hold only the front brakes when engaged... it help save your rear brakes and make your transmission happier too LOL...
-sounds like you know whats up with the burnout, just make sure you pay attention to what you are doing up there though and dont get too excited. save the excitement for when you see your timeslips
