Oh, forgot to mention that I blew my muffler off on the second pass. Right after I launched the muffler slid off the pipe and dropped down and hung on there about 4 inches off the ground for the rest of the run. I thought my cutout blockoff plate fell off....guess not Got back in the pits and pulled it off and ran open pipe the rest of the night. The turbo sounds cool like that
Guess all that 408 power just blow the muffler right off,
Kind of drowns following you home too, lol

Nice work gentlemen! That 60ft is crazy for a 4.8, how much boost are you building off the line? You're rapidly approaching Crazycutter's time!

Did you guys ever get to run one another? I want a video of that!

I was launching with 10psi . Spining in 4wd for about 4-5 feet. We raced each other twice. He beat me both times, the first I was actually a about .024 quicker, but had to hold it on the line to make sure I had a full 10psi, so he got me with the hole shot. I was more concerned with leaving on 10psi to make the good numbers then beating him. I don't know what runs got videoed. I'll post the slips when I get back to WY tomorrow and have a scanner. It was a BLAST

Are you running a 67mm turbo or a 60mm? 10psi is a ton to launch with...I'm so glad I switched back to an auto. I still haven't tried a boosted launch yet...

So how long do you guys hold it on the line when you're building boost. You clowns aren't like the GN guys that sit on the line for 30sec after the light turns green so you can leave at full boost, are you?

Did you ever try sitting in staging with the timing retarded and a commaned AFR of like 10:1? That should get everything nice and hot so when you get on the line it doesn't take so long.

I think Kyle tried that, I didn't. My longest r/t was a 7.something. Problem was that as soon as I staged they started the lights....i have to rev up in neutral to build enough vacuum to be able to brake stall.....wait for the revs to come back down, then stall it up to build boost. My boost builds fairly quickly.

Why are you revving it in neutral? Just to get heat in the pipe, or so it won't die?
