Are these times to be expected from a Ported TB change?

Yeah im not arguing, Most the time its impossible to tell by seat of the pants feel
i tried to leave on the foot brake around 1200 rpm to get the chassis loaded and then matt it on every run and the very last run i definately spun and went 2.38 60ft and ran 15.5
my burn outs were short, basically just enough to get the locker hooked up, i just left it in drive, shifting at 58-5900
I know enough to keep it consistent as possible otherwise there is absolutely no way to tell whats going on
at least there wasn't many people at the track so i was going back to back, my first two runs both netted 2.42-2.41 60fts fwiw, idk guess i should have ran it a few more times but in the truck it was extremely obvious to me that tb kicked the others ****
I have a Fully Ported TBSS Intake and 90mm TB i ported for the 383 that i will try, i'm tempted to see what the truck intake will do though, thanks

well yea it will pick up more than most people will know on a stock tb if the stop thingy is not grinded down 1 it will not get a straight opened blade 2 it will get more timing 3 more air.yes i can see it i know people that pick that up are close to that.

I don't doubt the gain, hard to believe but the proof is in the pudding as they say. If you really wanna know if it was the culprit you should put the stock one back on and see if it runs slower.

go to the junk yard, buy another TB and send it off to be ported, or put it on your truck and send yours off to be ported, thats what i did

Good idea, 454navyss. I asked my dyno guy just yesterday would I see any noticeable gains from a ported TB? He didn't seem to think so, or at least spend my $ elsewhere.Of course if i picked 1 up cheap,

They're either a 3 or 4 bolt, cable or DBW. I know I'm DBW, but after these differences, are there any others?
Or a range of yrs? Cause it'd seem best to just get another '04 unless it's really cheap, then I need to know yrs.
