I would not say the Jeep SRT 8 makes the Trailblazer SS lookes like a joke though. 400hp in a small SUV is pretty impressive. Not sure what is conservative about that?? The availibility of bolt ons for the SS can make up the difference with ease.

I'm waiting/saving for the day that GM get's off it's *** and brings back the Sy/Ty's. That will be one SICK SICK DAY!! I'm thinking twin turbo V6 putting down 500 rwhp on a 4000lbs chassis!!

Yeah my friends is fairly low mileage and lightly modded running low 14's. Sure we get high DA's here, but TBSS run mid 14's here stock. The Sytys are however getting plenty old, so I think a retro version could be pulled off. Same with the GN's too.

ya sy/tys aint that fast stock i dont think. my buddy was runnin like 14.5-15s in his... they say stock the fastest they shoudl run is like a 13.6 or something. why do a V6 turbo though when they can do a V8 turbo... like a awd colorado wit a 5.3 turbo

Beast mode, that guy in the srt8 GC you beat must have screwed up. I have heard a one legged baby could launch an srt8 gc with ease, AWD and an auto make it easy. As for the sy/ty's, I have read stock times of mid to low 13's on them. I would love to own one someday.

When I bought my Ty it was 10 years old, had 75K on it and ran a 13.6. A stock Sy does 0-60 in 4.7 and the quarter in low 13's. It's right inline with the SRT8 but for a 15 - 17 year old truck that pretty bitchin!

I've only ever seen a couple of truely stock Ty's. To find one that is actually untouched is like finding a stock Mustang GT, they're out there, but rare. With no weight reduction, no removing the air filter, absolutely no changes at all from stock, they rarely will break into the 13's.
