Default stock lq9 times in ecsb

Took my 04 ecsb 1500 2wd to the track again and shaved .6 tenths off my time from putting on lts and tune.my goal for the truck was 13s but it was to easy getting that so id like to hit 12s now that should take awhile to achieve.my plan for 12s is 3200 stall built 4l60 tsp 228r cam port and polish my 317s caltracks and 100 shot on radials. Anyone think this will be enough to crack into the 12s? Currently it runs 13.9 @ 99 with only mods listed in my sig.let me know what u guys think.

That'll be plenty to put you into the 12's. Nice times

You have plenty of power for low 13's maybe even high 12's with what you have. Just need to work on that 60'.

actually all you need is a 150 shot if all you wanna do is 12s.

mine dropped from a 15.2 2.3 60' to a 13.1 2.05 60' on 150 shot

if your runnin a 13.9, a 150 or 175 shot would get you in the mid 12s very easy.

very nice times for a mostly stock LQ9. You have the same mph as me when I ran a 13.2. Get a set of traction bars and some better tires and see what she will do. A tr224 112LSA and a 3200 rpm torque converter and you should be good for 12s.

The game plan for now is build the trans and a 3200 stall that will be the next mod so i can quit worrying about it giving out.i figuered with drs and caltracs i could get it close to mid thirteens without anymore power.and then comes the cam the only mod im not 100% sure im going to do is p&p the 317s do u guys think for the money its worth the little extra power? Im only planning on running a tsp228r cam im not sure it has enough intake duration to really need worked heads.

The only reason i ask about the heads is because this is my dd and its basically see how fast i can make it for the least amount of money its the first low budget build i plan on sticking with conservative spending plan.what kind of power gains do you think come from p&p and milled 317s?

I did my heads and cam at the same time. I gained about 70 hp with the two.
